What are the procedures if I am not granted freedom to surrender on my own?
If this is the case, you will be taken immediately into the custody of the U.S. Marshal. Normally you will be imprisoned initially at a local jail while the Marshal obtains instructions for your transit to a Bureau of Prisons facility. This is usually a very brief period of time.

At this point your bond is terminated and you are no longer under supervision of the pretrial services officer.
